Next, say hello to Ameetha Maharaj, the no-nonsense accounts clerk. She’ll assist you with quotations and explanations about medical aid payments, co-payments and gap cover. She can also advise you about PMB-legislation (prescribed minimum benefits), when your medical aid is legally obliged to pay the entire account for emergency surgery and certain conditions in non-emergency situations.
This practice is contracted out, apart from a payment agreement with Discovery Medical Aid’s Classic Plan.
